Determination of Isolated Lesion of the Lateral Pectoral Nerve due to Repeated Trauma | Chapter 8 | Recent Developments in Medicine and Medical Research Vol. 8

Two examples of progressive isolated injury to the lateral branch of the pectoral nerve with clavicular atrophy of the major pectoral muscle are shown. Repetitive external microtraumas and pressure on the nerve trajectory between the chest and shoulder during sports or occupational activities have been attributed to the mechanism of isolated lateral pectoral nerve lesions in our patients. We wanted to show that recurrent microtraumas can produce discrete nerve injury in this case study.
